Good evening everyone. I face booked this morning that I would be writing today. I am anxiously awaiting input from KP on Sweet Blood. It's hard to sit and patiently wait. When I stop and think about it I started Sweet Blood three plus years ago. I shelved it many times. But when I brought it out of moth balls, I was ready to hit it one more time. Overall, I enjoyed writing it. When I needed inspiration, I just walked outside and would be greeted by several bees.
Now that we have relocated back to the Midwestern state of Wisconsin, I can honestly say I miss Arizona's mountains and desert. I miss the silence that mother nature provided. I do know that we will be going back even if it's only for a visit.

Hi Jackie, I know what you mean when you say that you miss the silence that mother nature provides. I chose an old farmstead in Nebraska. My eight acres are surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmers fields and mother nature is alive and well; deer walk across my back yard and eagles rest in my trees before heading to their winter retreats. A perfect place for writing and inspiration.

Heavenly Angels Among Us is available in e-book through Barnes and Nobles, or go to iUniverse. I hope whoever reads any part of it will find it fulfilling. It is not a religious book, but more so inspirational in a time of need, like breaking away from the real world of chaos.

Heavenly Angels Among Us

They come in all shapes and sizes. They guide and protect us on our earthly journey.

HAPPINESS

Happiness is not at the end of the road . . .
It's all along the way.
It's like an Angel's paint brush . . .
A new hue of color for each day.
Happiness . . . Simply cannot be understood . . .
Nor can it be explained.
It must be experienced . . . It must be felt,
If it is to remain,

That poem is beautiful and so very true.
I was reading your comments from before and I'm currently looking to sell my home and move to the country. I miss the silence and only sounds of nature. Squirrels tuning up tress, deer in my back yard and birds singing is all I want to see and hear on a daily basis. So I understand how you feel. Not cars, people and just noise all the time. I love the silence if nature. Hopefully this will happen soon.

Heavenly Angels Among Us
A beautiful first day of Spring. The sun is shinning, there's a slight breeze, yet the air if fresh and clean.God's way of telling me that change is coming. I am spending a little vacation time with my son and enjoying my two grandchildren, Natalie and Kylie. They live in Northern Minnesota. I have always enjoyed the northern woods.
The 'itch' has hit. write -write- write. My newest WIP is a piece I have titled, BLIND LEADING THE BLIND. This is a non-fictional story about a blind Shih Tzu, my little five pounder, Shah'kah and the first two years of his life. His is not the typical animal story. Since there are no manuals written to guide in the learning process my goal is give tidbits and hints of information on raising a blind
dog. But his story would not be complete without some of the humorous tales that only Shah'kah is known best for. Shortly I will be setting a page aside for just this book. But until then, keep checking in. God Bless.

New WIP Another specialty poetry book - the second edition revised, LEGENDS! & DREAMS! & REALITY! Anthology of the Gold Prospect will soon be ready to hit the e-book market! I am so excited to share my good news!
I self published the first edition in 2004 and it traveled to Australia, Canada, Mexico, and all across the United States. With the rise in popularity in e-books I feel that it will even travel further around the world. I will keep everyone updated and hopefully be able to give a release date very soon. Here is a short blurp . . .
DREAMS POSSESSED
He's an old relic,
A piece of this town.
He holds onto his claim,
On this sacred ground!
If your heart is genuine,
As your prospecting unfolds,
You'll follow in his footsteps . . .
As the prospector of gold.

He said, "Gold is where you'll find it!
The mountains and the streams!
It will always find a way,
To possess your every dream!!"

BLIND LEADING THE BLIND 'Tidbits Hints and Humor' Living in a Blind Dog's World is a true story of the first two years that I lived in my blind dog's world punting all the way. Vet after Vet told me he wouldn't live long and I should put him down and save him from a lifetime of suffering. Well, I have waited until now to put his story together. He has now passed the five years miler marker and it going strong!! Once again he has beaten the odds of survival after having to make the toughest discussion of my lifetime. His pain level soared through the roof eight months ago. The Vet was unable to control the eyeball pain. Inevitably his huge orbs had to be removed. With a known heart murmur, I prayed for a miracle. God gave me that miracle and the surgery went smoothly.

The eighth day we woke to a hunger pup that wanted to survive. He wanted to go for a walk and we did, then he wanted to play with his bed pal, the pillow frog. He shook it gently twice and snuggled in for a nap. Since that day he has been back to my little dog that loves life.

I wish to thank everyone who has sent me e-mails thanking me for the the uplifting words written in HEAVENLY ANGELS AMONG US. It makes me feel that I have been able to give back to all those that gave to me in my time of need. thank you all so much.
For all those who may be reading this for the first time I wrote HEAVENLY ANGELS AMONG US in 2010. I wrote it in simple poetry form for anyone to be able to read and understand that the symbolic angels come in all shapes and sizes and are reminders of our infinite goal. I hope everyone who reads my book will find is enlightening and uplifting as they search for their own passion in life.
I see Angels as a reminder and inspiration to all that even in our darkest hours, we are not alone. I only hope that my book will open your heart and minds to new spiritual possibilities.

Here is one of my favorite pieces from my book HEAVENLY ANGELS AMONG US

HAPPINESS
Happiness in not at the end of the road . . .
It's all along the way.
I's like an Angel's paint brush . . .
A new hue of color for each day.

I come today with with my own version of words of wisdom.
I covet this pen to paint my words for all the world to read!

Here is one of the first poems I ever wrote.

ONE DAY AT A TIME

I take each day . . .
One minute at a time.
I do thank the Lord . . .
Each day that I find . . .
Just a little piece of mind.

Every day I feel the pain . . .
At times my tear . . .
Fall like the rain.

I hurt so bad . . .
I find it hard . . .
Not to be so sad.

A new challenge . . .
Faces me each day.
At times . . .
I don't know what to say.

Depression comes . . .
Anger . . .
And frustration stays . . .
As I push everyone away.

I'm told my pain . . .
May never leave . . .
So now I have no choice . . .
I must believe.

I'll take each day . . .
One at a time . . .
I'll search each day . . .
In my mind . . .
To give me strength . . .
To handle my pain . . .
So the tears won't fall . . .
Like rain.

So hoping to have a date soon to announce my 21st century paranormal romance novel. SWEET BLOOD
Today I'm giving out a condensed outline of what the story is all about.

Life-altering events draw the human, Gabrielle Angelo and one immortal, Colton Stone together on an emotional roller-coaster ride. Their lives are intertwined with intrigue, danger and mystery. When revelations of their pasts come full circle, they find a love that will bind them together forever.

Bee Specialist, Gabrielle Angelo arrived to investigate the influx of bees that had invaded Arizona. Her unexpected presence at Colton's home in the Superstition Mountains causes a major disruption to his covert plan. He hides his true identity as the ancient blood bees continue to replenish the human hive with fresh sweet blood for their Master.

Chaos shakes Colton's resolve as he looks upon Gabrielle as a mirrored image of his long-lost love Leah. He questioned his sanity knowing that Leah had perished in the earthquake the day of his immortal transformation over century ago.

With no memory, Colton promises to help find the answers to Gabrielle's lost life. He knows that if he uncovers her past, he would find the answer for his question of why she was wearing his Clan's signature ring. The ring he gave to Leah.

Colton knows that to survive in the world of the Living Dead, he needs to know his enemies. He needs to know who once again, accused him of violating his allegiance to the immortal world. He wanted to know who informed the Council that he was keeping a human contained. But, most importantly he wanted to know who hired the rogue vampire to destroy him, Gabrielle and his human hive.

Colton confronts Lord Alrik Graves, leader of the Council of the Living Dead. Colton informs Graves that he has proof of his deceit and betrayal against the immortal world. However, Colton is willing to negotiate with his silence. Will Colton sacrifice his seat on the Council of the Living Dead in exchange for Gabrielle's right to live in peace with him forever?

Life will once again move forward! After the "Doctor's" diagnosis of terminal sunk in it was time to replace my computer!! Even though it was only a few days, it felt like eternity! I have not forgotten where my writing life stopped, but I have to admit it felt good to break away from the world of writing and turned to my second favorite hobby, crafting. I have been diligently working on my tiny ornaments for my vine wrap XMas trees that I am making for the holiday seasons. Yes, of course they will be for sale. At soon as I get one put together I will be posting a picture on my author's face book page for all to see!
Now back to my 21st century paranormal romance SWEET BLOOD. I haven't been given a release date yet, but I'm anxiously awaiting that e-mail. While I am waiting for that I have been continuing my editing of BLIND LEADING THE BLIND. The cover is almost ready. I can't wait to see it. It's like opening a present on hump day -special!!! And now so everyone knows that I haven't forgotten about my WIP - LEGENDS! DREAMS! & REALITY! Legends of the Gold Prospector -the second edition is coming along nicely. I am already fighting that internal urge to work on yet another piece that emerged in the early morning hours as the rain pounded the side of the house as the wind whistled through the tiny cracks around the old farmhouse door. As I watched the light of day filter in between the raindrops I watch six whitetail deer leave my front yard for the safety of the woods. I love it when Mother Nature and Father Time work so well together. Until later God Bless and enjoy the warm weather!!!

June is upon us. People are once again crawling out of the woodwork to enjoy the warm season of spring. Today I'm posting a short poem from my book LEGENDS! DREAMS! & REALITY. I have titled it THE MAN of MANY COLORS
A man of many colors,
Be he young, or be he old.
Found the land of freedom,
Filled to the rim with gold.
They came from all walks of life,
A big man, a small man,
A rich man, a poor man,
All fugitives of normal lives at hand.
their ethnic backgrounds, I am told,
Didn't stop one from gathering
Riches in gold!
Their native tongues spoke
Of wealth untold,
The beautiful universal . . .
Nugget of gold!!

The sun has not risen yet on this rainless morning. But I'm am here, key board in hand to share another of "Bits and Pieces of Life"

ENDLESS TIME

The internal clock
No longer lingers
At the idle hour.

The hands of time
Announce the moment
with the rising sun.

With the pulse of life
brittle hearts beat
At the closing of the day.

Each minute strikes
a harmonious chord
a delicate balance in life.

For just a fleeting moment
a glimpse of endless time.

Until later . . . God Bless each and everyone

Lost now found deep within the archives a poem I wrote for my Dad. He is gone now but forever with me everyday. From my collection of Bits and Pieces of Life

DAD

Knowledge, wit,
Advise . . . expertise!
This is you . . . Dad
Sitting across from me.

Wherever you sit,
It becomes your throne,
Never an hour
Did you sit alone.

Hindsight in your eyes,
Yet, many a time
Tears and laughter
We both have cried.

Happy Father's Day !!!!!!!

JUST FOR YOU

Feel the sensation of my touch
A bond so strong,
That means so much!

Reflections . . .
Memories . . .
That we've made,
Never to replace . . .
Never to trade.

A deep admiration
and love to share,
It's love to the end,
I will always care.

They know their place . . .
They had been chosen by the Ancient Ones!

They live by the code . . .
There is no shame . . .
They had been chosen by the Ancient Ones!

They lead their pack . . .
They listen well . . .
They had been chosen by the Ancient Ones!

They tested their skill . . .
There was no slack . . .
They had been chosen by the Ancient Ones!

When they fight evil . . .
We know they have won . . .
They had been chosen by the Ancient Ones!

Military careers may now be over . . .
But their legends still live on . . .
For they . . .
Had been chosen by the Ancient Ones!

It has been way to long since I last wrote. Much has been happening, yet everything here on my end is at a standstill waiting for the "go". My publisher has reported that my 21st century paranormal SWEET BLOOD is in review. Soon a release date will be set. All you vampire lovers please to patient. SWEET BLOOD may be fiction, but it is a realistic 21st century vampire story that could, maybe is, the real thing happening in the world today. A must read for all those who want a little, no a lot of the paranormal, yet the setting is any day, right now in this real world.

An update on my next book, BLIND LEADING THE BLIND Tidbits, Hints and Humor Living in a Blind Dog's World. Unfortunately I have had to shelf this story for now. The cover is on hold. The artist, T.O. from La Crosse, Wis has asked for mourning time in the death of his mother. I understand most clearly what it's like to lose a loved one. So at this time of posting I will continue to give him the time he needs and have put our contract aside for the time being. God Bless you Tommy O. and I hope to hear from you soon.

I have been now working with my editor on the completion of LEGENDS, DREAMS & REALITY Anthology of the Gold Prospector. This is a collection of 61 poems written about gold prospecting. These stories are written in poetic form as an easy to read and easy to understand poem. Each and every poem comes from stories told around the campfires, ghost town gatherings, and visiting the different museums throughout the western states that tell of the history of the old 49er prospectors to the prospectors of today. Life has it, golden nuggets was a treasure back in the days of old, and are still a widely searched for treasure today. I have lived that dream and can say with certainty that I was, and still am a gold prospector, and will always be!

I am close now to completing my 2nd 21st century paranormal, and am now looking at designing the cover. More to come soon!

Until later, remember comments are always welcomed. God Bless!

Today a short update on Legends, Dreams and Reality! Working on the cover. Thus far it's just not right. Going to give it another shot. I tell myself not to be so critical, but I know that's one of my many flaws. I've been doing a beta read for a author friend. It's going well. I have just finished reading a children's book, "ANTics" working on the review now. Our RV Day/Night Shade Repair business is going strong again this summer. Been working on the website not quite finished yet, but feel free to check it out. https://sandlakesales.weebly.com
Again another work in progress. Now I understand why I'm to tired to do anything by nightfall. Still waiting on word about the cover for BLIND LEADING THE BLIND. Still waiting for SWEET BLOOD's publishing date I foresee the future, everything will come together at the same time to blow my mind away!! Stay tuned for the explosion!!!

Sharp and deliciously moody site. I don't meet too many people who also write poetry (there's almost no genre I don't write in). Just recently got a poem published in a nice magazine you could consider submitting to called Paris/Atlantic. I also have a wonderful list of venues for poetry and shorts.

Thank you so much for your compliments to my website. Congratulations on having your poem published. It is a great feeling. I love writing poetry, especially for children. My first children's poem was published in 2010 in Clubhouse Jr. FOOTPRINTS IN SPRING in which the poem had pictures of the animals and their footprints drawn in. It was beautifully crafted.

In 2009 I submitted a recipe to Highlights High Five magazine and again was published which set the pace for a specialty cookbook I completed on Solar Cooking.

This is how my writing in different genre got started. From there I branched out with challenges from family and friends.

Thank you for suggesting the magazine Paris/Atlantic. I will definitely check it out. You mention having a list of venues for poetry and shorts, would you be interested in sharing some of them with my face book writing/author friends? I do connect with several who really write beautiful, inspiring and heart touching poetry. Please let me know. Feel free to check out my face book page, just follow the link on my blog page.

August has arrived! Still time for that summer vacation. Here is a poem I wrote as "we" my hubby and I traveled the western states. I call this piece:

BACK ROADS

Travel the back roads
Life is to short!
Visit the seashore
In every port!

Wonder the valleys,
Taste the fruit
On the vines.
Scale the mountains
covered in pines.

Breath the freshness
Pure clean air.
Listen to the silence
Oh! So rare!

The mirror of life
Reflections unknown.
The profound theory of life
Ready to be shown!

My best to one and all.

Today is a glorious day! I have worked hard, but the credit goes to my editor, Darcy Fechner, who has put her heart and soul into making my dream come true. Legends! & Dreams! & Reality! Anthology of the Gold Prospector is now out on Smashwords. It's only available in e-book format at this time. My next project will be to make it available in softcover, but that will be down the line.

At the last minute I added one final poem, I call "Herman"
It goes like this:
Just a little bite...
What a delicious delight...
Simple pleasures, easy bake...
Put to memory...
buns, breads, bars and even cakes!

Yes, I included the recipe I acquired years ago when prospecting for gold. It's "Wild Yeast" Sourdough Starter and I still use the recipe it to this day especially during the holiday seasons.
God Bless and Enjoy!

My enjoyment in reading and writing has led me to want to help others work to their full potential as individual "budding artists" of their own words.
My overall objective is to encourage others by offering my assist with critiquing, beta reading, and giving reviews using constructive criticism to broaden the writer's knowledge no matter what genre they write in.
I encourage all new writers to "think outside the box" when creating a new story line. Much Iike I did when I wrote SWEET BLOOD which hopefully will be ready for publication through Keith Publishing soon.
I again went outside the box to write a second paranormal vampire story I have titled, SAVAGE BLOOD. It too will soon be ready for publication. both these stories are focused in the now 21st century as humans and vampires have been more willing to be co-inhabitants in the real world. More to come......

Today I want to once again thank my editor, Darcy for all her hard work that she put in on my book. She not only edited it, but had to rewrite the entire manuscript to fit the format required by Smashwords. Then she worked with Smashwords to get it set up for the Premium Catalog distribution. She put in long hours and is a dedicated asset to my publishing network. I am so proud to have her on my team.

Today I received notification that Legends! & Dreams! & Reality! Anthology of the Gold Prospector went on line for the premium catalog distribution with Smashwords in e-book format only at this time. A link will be posted soon for direct access. At this time I have arranged for a special pricing of $.99 per book.
I hope everyone who reads it will enjoy a piece historical history during the era of the gold rush.

I've had to back down on my typing and writing due to surgery on my right hand and arm on Sept 16th, 2013. It has been a long haul but things are coming around and I can now write in short spurts. I've been trying to keep up with e-mails, face book, twitter and LinkedIn, but as anyone who has had surgery time to heal is the important factor. So in case I have missed anyone, please forgive me and just message me back.

So while my hand and arm are healing, I have been reading for others that I promised reviews. I will admit it has been nice to sit back and take myself away from this world and into the next. I find I prefer reading over watching television.

I will admit now I have a list of books that I'd like to just sit down and read but my bucket list of 'to do books' is tickling my fancy. I have been editing BLIND LEADING THE BLIND. The cover is now completed and as soon as the manuscript is closer to the finishing point I will be revealing it here and on face book, LinkedIn and twitter. I have to make the decision if this book will be only e-book formatted or if I will include it in paperback. If I go with paperback, my husband and I will be publishing it "in house" on demand. This is to be determined. We are already tossing the idea of taking my e-book that is on Smashwords, LEGENDS & DREAMS & REALITY Anthology of the Gold Prospector and publish it in paperback on demand.

I have waited what feels like an eternity, (since February of this year) for the publication of my book titled SWEET BLOOD. My second paranormal sits on the shelf as I wait to hear about the first, the contract has been long signed and sealed.

So the next on my bucket list is possibly another specialty cookbook. Several years ago I wrote and published a cookbook on Solar Cooking all recipes tried and true. Sold many of these books when I lived out west.

This current one is the divorcee's cookbook, not titled yet, for the to be single person, him or her, that must now cook for themselves and or for their children. These recipes again are all tried and true. Simple to make, nutritious a great variety with good health as the priority. The 'specialty' aspect is in the title of each dish that will hopefully help each individual to smile just a little bit as they enjoy their great dish. I again want to 'in house' publish this book on demand in paperback and also in e-book format. More to come as the book is laid out.
So for now I must close, God Bless everyone and enjoy the fall colors!

I want to apologize for mistakenly deleting a beautifully written message for a co-author. I am re-posting it as a copy and paste.

Hi Jacqueline,

Edwin D Ferretti III has just posted a comment on your blog:
Hi Jackie, I know what you mean when you say that you miss the silence that mother nature provides. I chose an old farmstead in Nebraska. My eight acres are surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmers fields and mother nature is alive and well; deer walk across my back yard and eagles rest in my trees before heading to their winter retreats. A perfect place for writing and inspiration.

I often ask myself why I can lay in bed at night and poetry rolls out of the crevices in my mind. By the time I rise it's all gone never to be shared. I've tried the bedside writing but have totally shocked myself at some of what I have written. It's like a second person in my head. Humm...maybe there is??
Although this is how I come up with the "out of the box" chapter, or paragraph I need to complete a story that is hanging in limo as I work on it. It works every time.
I don't know who wrote this but it is me... and I'm sharing it with you.
"No matter how rich or wise a person is or thinks he/she is, we are all mortal and subject to the same vicissitudes of aging, chance and ill health. But...there is always a place for miracles in everyone's life."
And with these words of wisdom I thank whoever thought them up, and hope everyone who reads this post has a wonderful weekend.

I am hoping that this will help with exposure for new authors.

Here is a poem I read THE GUARDIAN

User Lucian Tower wrote the following in response to my review/ comment:
"Hello Jacqueline! Thank you for your review and for your beautiful words about my poem. I love what you wrote in your comment. It is wonderful what you read in my poem. Writing a poem using Native American Spirituality has many things that become tough to get over to the readers. Probably because of translations being exact. I am excited because you read it well. Great news! The cover is finished for my 21st century paranormal romance, SWEET BLOOD. Have heard from my publisher, Keith Publications that it is close to a publication date.

It has been a long time coming. When I accepted the contract back on February 24, 2013 I never expected it to take so long. But I have been given much encouragement to hold fast.

I will be releasing the book cover when I get the date for publication.
If I have learned anything through this process, it has been patients, lots of patients. So while I have waited patiently, I have worked on a second paranormal write which is almost completed and also worked more on my non-fictional BLIND LEADING THE BLIND.
When I have just a few down minutes I am also working on a specialty cookbook. More to come on this one too.

I have been busy doing special book reviews for new authors and have enjoyed it immensely.

Until later, I must continue my journey and turn the page.

I don't usually blog on books that I've read since I go directly on line and post my review. But today is different. I just finished reading I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE ROBERT TAYLOR HOMES by Brenda Costanzo. This book is her memoirs of living in one of our country's largest ghettos. I feel that by her writing her story she had been able to let many of the demons that haunted her over the years finally die. I do believe another reasons for writing about her life is that her past life still lives on today with the gangs, drugs prostitution, etc. If her story could reach the streets and she could help just one young girl/woman make a better life for herself her mission would be complete. Let's help her make her dream come true. Buy her book, give it as a gift, talk about it. Spread the word!!

They live by the code,
There is no shame.
They had been chosen by the Ancient Ones!

They lead the pack,
They listen well.
They had been chosen by the Ancient Ones

They've tested their skill,
There was no slack.
They had been chosen by the Ancient Ones!

When they fight evil,
We know we've won.
They had been chosen by the Ancient Ones!

Their legends will live on.

Just been notified that SWEET BLOOD should be out by Christmas!
I will be posting the cover on my Author's Face Book page, just follow the link above, and take a peek! As soon as I'm given the publishing date I will post that as well.

So here's a taste of SWEET BLOOD

The dense rock in the cavern echoed with the venomous voice of Colton Stone as he shouted, "Why did you bring her into my home?"

Colton considered himself quiet, measured; systematic. However, at this very moment, he was close to losing control. He felt his body ripple with the rushing change of his DNA as his voice boomed like thunder, "Answer me old woman!"

The Shaman knew she was betraying her Master, Stone's trust when she brought the human woman into his home. Fear rocked her inner core as she quickly and carefully projected her thoughts to him. Master. You must understand I would do nothing to bring danger into our lives.

The human comes to me in my visions. I see her in my dreams. I tell you this human is the key to the answers you seek.

Scared eyes stared up at Colton as the old woman stepped away from him. Her voice trembled, " I found the human in the burial grounds of your ancestors. Her injuries are severe. Master, she must not die."

Keep in touch to see what other little tidbits I post before the book release.

SWEET BLOOD 21st century paranormal erotica read. Blood , my latest book is nearly ready for publication. It is hinted that it should be out by Christmas! Stay tuned in for a future announcement. But until then here is another snippet of the story to wet your appetite....

The Shaman gave a slight nod and whispered, "I shall Master."
The old woman pulled her hand from the pouch hanging around her waist. She opened her bony fingers and glanced at the ring resting in the palm of her hand. Closing her gnarled fingers around it, a life pulsing sensation engulfed her. She spoke to the ring as if it were a living, breathing entity. She said softly, "Soon I will place you in my Master's hands."

Another snippet from upcoming novel, SWEET BLOOD

Another little snippet from SWEET BLOOD

Perched on the edge of the couch, Colton's eyes stayed glued to the television screen. Irritation graded his nerves as his mind whirled like a tornado. I really dislike it when our public servants think they have the authority to inject their petty thoughts causing more chaos and panic.

At that exact moment, Gabrielle Angelo's face filled the big screen. Jolted from his thoughts, Colton bolted upright crossing the room in a slash movement. He found himself starring in the face of his lost love, Leah. Questions rolled off his cold lips, "who are you? Why do you look like my Leah?

Here is the next snippet from my book SWEET BLOOD.

Colton headed straight to the lower level to check on the progress of the hive. With everything on schedule, he continued on the room of his uninvited guest. He immediately smelled the fresh linen on the four-poster bed. But the scent of the human only lingered. He knew she was not there. His Shaman stood in the doorway as he inquired, "Where is the human?"
The old woman looked straights into her master's eyes, "I made her disappear as you wished Master."
Colton knew he'd have to drag the information out of her. Slowly turning his back to the old woman, he placed his hands on his hips and asked,"Did she die?"
The Shaman again replied, "No Master."
Colton turned and faced the old woman. Again he asked, "Did you sent her to the hive?"
Her eyes dropped to the floor as the old woman shook her head answering, "No Master."
Colton cocked his head in a questionable manner and asked, "What did you do with the woman?"
The Shaman looked deeply into his eyes, picking her words very carefully. "I saw that she wears the ring of your Clan," as her crippled hand opened exposing the ring.
Arching an eyebrow, Colton asked, "Why didn't you tell me this before I left for the city?"
His Shaman bowed her head, whispering, "Who am I to challenge your decision Master?"
Wicked daggers flashed from Colton's eyes as he warned, "Don't toy with me old woman."
Icicles formed under her skin as he asked for the last time, "Where is the human?"

This is the last snippet of SWEET BLOOD before it's release, enjoy!

Colton opened the portal with a touch from his hand to the wall. Together they stepped into a strange and ominous world. The deepest darkness of Hades spread out before them. Standing on a small outcrop Gabrielle fought to focus her blurred vision. Griping Colton's arm she shouted, "Colton! This is unbelievable. It's beyond my own imagination. This can't be happening?"

Gabrielle found it hard to hold on to reality as she looked around. Her sense of smell detected a very distinctive odor of old honey emanating throughout the endless cavern. Gazing around she saw thousands of cocoon like pods of various shapes and sizes suspended from the rock ceiling. They were all connected together like one great spider web. Each pod looked to be individually wrapped in golden shrink wrap sheeting. A thick sludge was flowing through miles and miles of twisting tub-like membranes intersecting and leading to a teardrop-shaped organ. It was the heart of the hive.

I've been told by my editor that SWEET BLOOD is in the finishing touches and will be ready for sale shortly.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Today's contribution to the writing world!

That imp story was one which I was told at about age 5. The only thing I could really remember was that an imp pushed out the plug. Whether it was an original story of the teacher, I have no idea.
So, I embellished the story far beyond what I remembered, and what you read is what you got. I will revise the quick poetry bit at some future time to make it more flowing
It was intentional that I put the age range of 9-90 on the cover. Many older folks, after reading it, and before I uploaded it, have said they will never be able to take a bath again without thinking about the story and the imp's laugh as the water gurgles down the pipe.
Even my 11 yo giggles after his bath, and when he sees me says, "It's just the imp laughing Dad." Makes me feel good. Such a pity the shower doesn't make the same noises.

Re-reading all your wonderful comments, if you chose to put them with any rating on them from wherever you got the novel or stories, I'd be rapt. Anything to encourage people to read my stuff is appreciated.

I did notice that you commented on Linkedin that some turd made derogatory comments about your work without having read any. I am a strong believer that all reviews, good or bad, must have an identifier name, and allow an author a right of reply attached to the critics comments. Cowards will hide behind their anonymity. As will spiteful people trying to get revenge for a perceived wrong doing.

Cheers,

John Muir

My comment to the world
Good morning John,

I went to Smashwords and even though I have left other reviews, it would not allow me too.
Please hold on to the copies of the reviews, at this time my computer "ate them" hopefully I can retrieve them with time.

My contribution to the writing world!

Another thank for a review I did on the book TWISTED TRAIL

Hi Jacqueline,
I read you your review on Amazon and I very much appreciate your comments. I was so very much pleased that you liked and enjoyed the book. To be mentioned in the same sentence as newly the more stunned me. After that, I sort of went wow, maybe I'll go ahead and try to finish up the third book called "A Trail Home." Trying to deal with Xlibris got me so damn depressed. I just didn't feel like writing anymore. Your review pick me up a bit and I suppose I'll have to start feeling sorry for myself and finish what I started. If you look for me on Facebook, Charles Monroe, you will find the links to my first book, as well as the link to my second book, "a Trail revisited" which the publisher has finally, after more hassles and you can possibly imagine, managed to get it posted on Amazon, Barnes & Noble's, Kendall, etc. if you enjoyed the first one. I think you'll enjoy the second one even more. My secret reader thought it was better and has a lot more action. It's a story all by itself, but it sort of picks up after "Twisted Trail" ends. "A Trail Revisited" as many of the same characters in it as well as some new and I hope interesting individuals. Lots of twists and turns, but I'm not going to give anything away. Kendall has put the first few chapters in their preview.
Thanking you again for the time that you have given me in writing your opinion and reading the book, I very much appreciated it.
Sincerely, C.R. monroe [aka Ron}

Check out the review on Amazon!

THE FIRST LAW ON EARTH
This is the first law, Adam was commanded not to eat the fruit of good and bad, for the very first day he eats he shall die. This was said to Adam in the absence of the woman, at that time Eve had not been created, Genesis 2:21 – 22; And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 -And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. Even though Eve was absent when the condition was said to Adam, God told Eve through Adam since they became one Genesis 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
The questions to consider are:
If Adam had not taken the fruit from the wife what and eat it would have happened?
What made Eve to get convinced of Lucifer’s tricks?
Is it because Eve was not directly told the law and its effects that is why Lucifer was able to win her?
If both the couples have not eating the fruit of good and bad what would have been happened?
Is God to be blamed for man’s downfall?
Why did GOD sit back for Lucifer to deceive his image being Adam and Eve?
The answer to the questions above have been answered in my book entitled ‘‘THERE IS A CONDITION’’ (RECOGNISING THE CONDITIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL LIFE).

I need to post an important message!
HEAVENLY ANGELS AMONG US is no longer available in e-book or paperback. I have pulled it from iUniverse publishing due to the fact of the high cost to continue publishing with them.

I will however be reviewing, revamping and adding to the poetry and putting out a revised edition under a new title llater this year.

If anyone is in need of a copy I do have a few left.
Thank you for your understanding and have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Memorial Day weekend! Just dropping in to give an update on what I've been up to.

First I want to thank everyone who has taken an interest in posting on my GUEST POST. Please check it out! You'll find six great authors of different genres that are very impressive. If you are interested in posting your own piece, please contact me at jmpiep@yahoo.com for my questionnaire.

2nd, I have great news! I just received a contract for my second paranormal book titled SAVAGE BLOOD. If all works out, it should be ready for e-book publication by the holidays! I will be posting more on it as it progresses! Stay tuned . . .

3rd, My husband, Robert and I have decided to step outside the box and start our own publishing company. THE BOOK BINDER PRESS is in the works! Getting the website set up and will let everyone know when it's up and running. I am so excited about this venture. We have been printing my books on demand that we have self-published. We will be expanding out in printing on demand for others soon.

4th, that brings me to let everyone know that I have added another page to my website for readers to leave their reviews on. I am finding many readers are more willing to visit my site and leave a short review opposed to writing a review on a book site. I am fine with this approach and hope others will utilize it.

5th, I am so happy to know that my non-fiction book, BLIND LEADING the BLIND is being formatted for e-book as we speak!
I will let everyone know when it is made public on Smashwords. I will also give the information on how to obtain a signed hard copy for your collection!

Now I must get going! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I am re-posting a review I received from Ruth Ann Hixson. This review was lost on the old computer and most of it was retrievable. I hope I do justice in filling in the blanks. Thank you Ruth for your review on LEGENDS & DREAMS & REALITY Anthology of the Gold Prospector.

If you like stories of the wold west and gold mining in the past and present you will enjoy Jacqueline Piepenhagen's Anthology, Legends & Dreams & Reality. Her family are present day gold miners on weekends and holidays. But some of her poetry go back into the colorful past of the 49ers and other of their ilk. Her poetry pulls you into the past as miners guard their claim as they sifted through the mud and nuggets. She tells of the hardships that they faced in day -to-day life. She also bring to mind the feeling of supernatural beings that are scattered throughout the west. Though several of her poems are of her family they are worth reading.

My apologizes for not posting as of late. So much going on I totally space out on my blog page.
I have been working on a specialty cookbook for the novice cook. My problem continues to be with the title. When the right one comes to me, I will know. In the mean time, the rest of the book is coming along nicely!
I am also doing my research on my third paranormal fantasy as I wait for SAVAGE BLOOD, my second paranormal fantasy to come full circle and into print as an e-book through Keith Publishing.
I also am the co-owner of a paperback publishing company, called the Book Binder Press. Please refer to my website at www.binderpress.com to learn more about it. This is where anyone can order several of my books in paperback.
Books available at the Book Binder Press are:
My non fictional read - Blind Leading the Blind Living in a Blind Dog's world. You can also find it on Smashwords but be aware there are no pictures for the e-book, but there are in the paperback edition.
My Everyday Angels - A poetry book. Here is the revised edition that is currently found only at the Book Binder Press.
Legends Dreams Reality The Final Chapter is another specialty poetry book on Gold Prospecting. This revised edition is currently found in paperback only at the Book Binder Press.
The original Legends & Dreams & Reality Anthology of the Gold Prospector can still be found on Smashwords for .99. Again there are no pictures in the e-book but are in the paperback version.
Feel free to check them out!
Until later,
I must get back to my current manuscript!

It has been far to long since I've written. I do apologize. Happy Spring everyone! Now that it is here I am feeling invigorated in writing poetry once again. Please check out my latest piece titled FREEDOM on www.postpoems.org
This one is not in either of my poetry books which by the way can be found only in paperback at the BOOK BINDER PRESS / www.binderpress.com
Feel free to check out these poetry books at the BBP or here on my webpage.
My second paranormal is now in an editor's hands at KP. It has been a long time coming. As soon as I get a publishing date I will be posting it here, BBP, FB, Twitter and LinkedIn and wherever else I can think of.
My nonfictional book, BLIND LEADING THE BLIND Living in a Blind Dog's World is making its rounds. Latest copies are in Australia and UK. I have found this book is preferred in paperback as many people are telling me that they are sharing it with family and friends that love animals. This makes my heart feel so loved. For those of you who do not know of my book it is the first two years of life with my Shih Tzu Shah'kah and how we overcame all obstacles in raising him. He was born blind and abandoned by his mother. It is often said that people need to make lifestyle changes for the good, and this book is definitely made a great lifestyle change for me and my husband. You can find the e-book on Smashwords for .99 or get a signed, paperback with photos included at the Book Binder Press / www.binderpress.com. Contact me for more information as far as postage and handling outside of the U.S. I wrote this book for all ages.
Currently I am working on a young child's picture book. I am going to be a great-grandmother within the next 3 weeks and this book will be dedicated to our newest family member.
I saw my first Robin yesterday and it is currently snowing here in Onalaska, WI. I love it! Weather report says accumulation but then they said that several times already and we got rain. So I will enjoy the few flakes falling and look forward to the spring flowers.
This past winter passed in record time as I read and reviewed many books for different authors.
Now I must clean off the dust bunnies around my computer and get back to work with my writing. Yes, I have another fictional book in the works. Hopefully my latest cookbook titled The TYRO RESCUE COOKBOOK For the Novice Cook is almost completed and should be ready for sale soon! I will post it when it's ready! Watch for it.
Time to close. Stay in touch!

Happy Spring everyone! Savage Blood, my 2nd paranormal read, is moving along very slowly. KP publishing ran into several snags over the winter months, but is now once again up and running. I will keep everyone informed as my book moves forward.
Working on several children books that I started several year ago. I guess becoming a great-grandmother again, (third time) got me thinking of finishing my books I started long ago. Currently have 2 books out to illustrators. More to come.
Found a great editor to work with me on several of my books. I am currently waiting for her to connect as to whether or not I can release her info.
My long lost specialty cookbook is almost finished. the title is THE 'TYRO' RESCUE COOKBOOK. This cookbook was created to help the novice cook become a chef in their own kitchen. More to come with this one too.
Until later, I must get back to my editing and writing. Stay in touch.

Surprise! Surprise! With the upcoming birth of our third great-grandchild. I have decided to finish my children's books that I started so long ago. My first book is titled LIBBY'S MAGICAL GARDEN. I have a wonderful illustrator who is willing to do the pictures and cover. More to come!!!
Now I have been given permission to promote one of my editors. Her name is Harshita Sharma. She is from India where she works a an copyeditor for a book company. Feel free to contact her at this e-mail address: harry321988@gmail.com
he does proofreading, copy-editing, content editing and does accept paypal and confidentiality contracts.
She did one of my books and did a great job!
